Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! (BL) (J)

I had heard a lot of good things about this series and am happy to report that it did not disappoint. This one is super cute fluff and it's fairly comical without being way too over the top. The characters are some of the purest, most wholesome people and I would protect them with my life. Plus, this series has one of the best titles I have ever heard in my life.
Adachi (Akaso Eiji) has been a virgin all his life. After he turns 30, he suddenly develops the ability to read people's minds when he touches them. Through his newly acquired power, he learns that super popular coworker Kurosawa (Machida Keita) actually has been harboring a major crush on him!

On top of this, Adachi's friend Tsuge (Asaka Kodai) also develops the same powers as he starts to have feelings for young dancer/delivery person Minato (Yutaro).

This story is all about overcoming our own insecurities. Even people who seem perfect have their own problems, and we are usually our own harshest critics. Adachi doesn't think he is worthy of someone like Kurosawa (but I mean, honestly, who among us is), but Kurosawa also gets nervous around him and wants to be seen as someone worthy of love.

This series was super cute and very fun to watch. Many of the Japanese series I have seen have their own brand of humor, and that was definitely present here, but it felt like just the right amount. Adachi's reactions to hearing the thoughts of people around him were hilarious and wonderful and honestly, same sis.

Kurosawa was an incredible character that you cannot help but fall in love with. He has flaws, but they make him more lovable to Adachi and he is some of the best boyfriend material out there.

The pacing is a little slow, since Adachi has to prepare himself for things like his first time holding hands and his first kiss and his first date, but the pacing feels right for them and for the story.

I definitely fell in love with them. This was a series I definitely recommend.

Minato and Tsuge also had their own little cute love story and Tsuge's pure friendship with Adachi was an absolute treasure.

This one, along with the little side stories, may be a bit of a hidden gem, but it's one you don't want to miss!
